Mission Program Director

Gethsemane International began in 2003 with the mission to "Raise Christian Men and Women Around the World" by following the Biblical model of family to create holistic healing for orphans. Our offices are headquartered in Knoxville, TN while our children's homes and Christian school are in Kenya, Africa.


Mission Program Director

Location: Knoxville, TN

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Missionary Support, raised by applicant

The successful applicant will recruit church groups to take custom mission trips, train the groups, coordinate trip & project details with Kenya's Country Director, and travel with the teams in Kenya to guide them during their trip.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruit church groups to plan custom mission trips with Gethsemane

  • Train and prepare mission teams

  • Coordinate lodging, transportation, projects, and supplies needed for each trip

  • Travel to Kenya to meet each team in the Nairobi airport and guide the team through their trip

  • Build long term relationships between mission teams and Gethsemane

  • Report to Gethsemane's Director of Development

Skills & Specifications:

  • Passion to serve Christ and others

  • Strong understanding of Gethsemane's mission, message, and programs

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changes with strong logic and problem solving ability

  • Ability to effectively lead others with strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication

  • Ability to travel

  • Must be trustworthy with a high level of professional integrity

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Outlook)

  • An attitude which is described in Philippians 2:3-8

Education& Qualifications:

  • College Education with a 4-year degree, preferred

  • Master's degree, a plus
